As concerns regarding the Zika virus rise, the following links may prove helpful information.

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists recommends that women "should be advised to avoid becoming pregnant while travelling in an area with active ZIKV transmission. On returning, they should avoid becoming pregnant for a further 28 days. Women whose partner has been to an area with ZIKV should use effective contraception to avoid pregnancy (and the use of condoms could be considered to prevent against infection acquisition) for 28 days after his return home if he had no ZIKV symptoms.
