Premier Wab Kinew and Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care Minister Uzoma Asagwara announce the Manitoba government will double the Fertility Treatment Tax Credit
The Heartland Fertility team was proud to welcome Premier Wab Kinew and Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care Minister Uzoma Asagwara on-site at our clinic and IVF centre today. The Premier and Minister announced the Manitoba government will double the Fertility Treatment Tax Credit.
At today’s event, attended by many members of the media, the Premier said, “We know that IVF is such an important technology. We have great medical specialists and medical technology today that can help families and would-be parents to be able to move forward on this really rewarding path.
Your decision to start a family should be based on what’s in your heart, not what’s in your bank account. If you need to access IVF and other fertility supports, you’re going to get $16,000 per year back when you spend up to $40,000.
The day we can support more Manitobans to experience the joy of parenthood is a good day.”
Minister Uzoma Asagwara said, “There are many Manitobans who face barriers in their path to parenthood and growing their families. Folks should have opportunity to access IVF, fertility treatments and a path that works for them, and be supported in that.
Every person’s path to parenthood is unique. No matter who you are, the tax credit is designed to fit your specific needs so you can worry less about the cost and focus on what matters most.”
